Global Leadership ForumSA with Sahar Hashemi & Bill Rancic July 2005, KLCC Convention Centre When the Perdana Leadership Foundation organised the inaugural Global Leadership Forum ("GLF") in KL, SA was priviledged to have been selected as one of the participants. It was a congregation of the captains of industries and other corporate personalities. A broad list of reknowned speakers from all over the world were invited including Tun Mahathir Mohamad; Sahar Hashemi, founder of Coffee Republic which is a popular coffee bar and restaurant chain in UK; Bill Rancic, the winner of the first 'Apprentice'; Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon; Tony Fernandez; Joseph Stiglist and a video feed of Dame Anita Roddick, the founder of Body Shop. The main take-away from this event for SA is ... to believe in your ability to achieve and just do it!!
MBA GraduationSA with her loving family August 2005, Johor Bahru After 2 years of weekend classes and late nights studying, completing assignments and burning midnight oil before exams, SA successfully completed her MBA in Strategic Management from the International Business School, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur. The graduation was held in the main campus in Skudai, attended by her parents, husband and sisters. It was a very fulfilling experience for SA as in addition to learning new subjects, SA now appreciates the development in her thinking process and also the network of new friends. SA is thankful to God for the experience and grateful to her parents, husband and family for their support and encouragement without which SA would not have been able to complete the course. SA also celebrates the end of the dreadful days of leaving the love of her life at home while she's away at class. SA also misses her Suzuki Vitara which faithfully carried her to and fro to Jalan Semarak and also provided storage for the MBA books and folders. SA is considering her next project... a DBA?
